Marion Oktoberfest Turns Five This Fall

Uptown Marion’s Oktoberfest is back for a fifth year Saturday September 19, bringing dozens of Iowa and Midwest breweries to 7th Avenue for an afternoon of beer, German games, and more.

Alongside the beer, the festival leans into Oktoberfest tradition with hammerschlagen, keg rolling, and a stein-holding contest, plus a best-dressed competition for dirndls and lederhosen. Live music comes courtesy of Lyle Beaver and the Brass Notes.

Proceeds benefit Marion’s Winter Lights holiday program and the Iowa Brewers Guild, which supports the state’s craft beer industry.
